If you write about cameras, electronics, or other consumer products, do your readers a favor: when you write about the new new thing, tell your readers where they can get one for themselves.
StreetPrices widgets help your readers connect the dots and buy the product you've reviewed. By putting pricing information right into the text of your article, your readers won't have to leave your site when they want to buy.
StreetPrices widgets add value while making you money. Unlike display ads, our widgets are designed to actually be useful to your readers. You won't have to choose between pleasing your users and paying the bandwidth bill — our widgets make your site better, and give you a stable revenue stream.
Your users will be able to see which online stores carry the product, with prices, direct links to buy, and (optionally) detailed information like store ratings, shipping costs, and in-stock status. If a camera comes in multiple kits, or multiple colors, we'll break out the options, so your users know exactly what they're getting when they click.
We want to give your users the best experience possible on your site. That's why we update our prices every half hour — no more clicking to buy only to find that the price has changed. StreetPrices is the only major shopping engine that updates this often; other engines update every 12 hours, or even daily.
If you know the name of the product you're reviewing, and if you can cut and paste HTML tags into your pages, you can use StreetPrices widgets.
To build widgets, follow three easy steps:
No looking up cryptic product IDs, no API calls (unless you want them) — just give us the make and model, and we'll do the rest.
Once the widget is in place, you'll never need to change it. Our widgets are designed to gracefully disappear when products go out of production, so your users always get information they can trust, and your pages always look great.
From text listings, to listings with merchant logos, to full-on "big box" listings, we've got a widget to meet your needs.
Our simple text widgets let you show pricing information right inside your review. You could show the best prices in a small box at the top of your review. Or put a complete list of prices at the end of your review.
Their best trick, though, is this: you can put a paragraph introducing the prices as the title of your text widget, and the paragraph will automatically disappear when merchants stop selling the product. So, if you made your widget's title "Here's where it's available online today:", you could rest easy knowing that the introductory text would only show up when there were prices to display.
Whatever placement you choose, the text widget picks up the font from the surrounding text, so it will fit right in with your content.
We also offer more standard "big box" widgets that you can customize by color, size, and other parameters. These widgets include pictures, descriptions, and other detailed information, so users can make informed buying choices.
We can also customize the list of merchants that shows in your widget, so you can be confident that you're recommending only merchants you'd personally buy from.
If you would prefer to integrate pricing data at a lower level, contact us for details on our product and pricing APIs.
We also provide co-branded shopping sites with your header and footer. Contact us for more details.
